Student Competition

InfoTech 2008 has expanded the scope of its student competition to include three categories: elementary, middle and high school. Teacher-coached student teams will compete for prizes by creating short media projects. Finalists from each category will present their project at InfoTech 2008 and answer questions from a panel of experts. Entries will be voted on by the audience.

The InfoTech Elementary School Student Competition team will consist of a teacher and a team of 4 students. The project will be a media clip demonstrating the theme, "Excellence Through Innovation" through the use of Internet resources in the classroom. Student teams will be encouraged to use resources found on the LAUSD website, such as Digital Library, LAUSDnet Kids, and LAUSD Student email.

Middle School Student Competition:
Theme – Classroom 2015
The InfoTech Middle School Student Competition team will consist of a teacher and a team of 4 students. The project will be a media clip predicting how a middle school classroom will look and how technology will bring about "Innovation Through Excellence" for teaching and learning in the year 2015.
